Great job on the jug not sure about any kind of job so far as the toilet is concerned but I know John Glick used to make thrown ones (had one or two teething problems with them, not sure I should have used that particular metaphor I think I feel sick now).
Fine jug Paul, I had the same dilemma with the Harvest Jug deco - the originals are so ornate, it's hard to know how to approach it. I did the same as you in the end, kept it simple because that's the way I usually do things.
That stuff for repairing pottery that I was telling you about is Milliput, your mate might find it useful to sort out his loo. You can get it from hardware stores or pottery suppliers.
