Pottery & Kilns

I still have not resolved the issue of the second kiln not reaching temperature.
I've done something I know you shouldn't,

Open the kiln while the elements are still hot
just to check that they are all working.

Don't try this at home kids!!

as you can see they are.

The Game "You show me yours and I'll show you mine"
is not so much fun when they are both yours.

So I tried a game of spot the difference.
The only thing I can find that is different is the thermocouple wire
so It looks like that is the culprit,
but do you have to buy the whole thing or can I just buy the wire bit in the middle ?.

While all of this is going on I am still making lots of pots.
I'm conscious that I haven't put many pics up of pots recently
So here are some pots in progress
Half pint tankards and Soup bowls.

and some dishes that are ordered.
Fresh slipped pots.
and these bowls are proving very popular.

And Finally some finished pots fresh from the kiln today.

Oh- I think so too!
I hate when the other stuff gets in the way of production.
I have no clue....

Such a shame I cann't just reach into the screen and lift down one of those jugs - they are loking very good.

Funny I just posted a similar thermocouple issue, it's either the wiring or the fact that it's bent that I'm having to figure out. Lovely pots, always love seeing pics of them!
