Though I've never dared bisque or glaze with the lids on, we've been having lousy weather in Malaysia, too, and similar problems with pots. Drying time has tripled due to the constant rain - from one week to three weeks, and a whole month sometimes. There's just been too much moisture in the air. And sometimes the rain's been so bad, it's come in through the roof and drenched our bisqued pots. Luckily we air dry the greenware in a different shed that's been better shielded from the rain.Winstonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01151887135505461088noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9070171807625943329.post-7797144400190893912011-03-24T15:43:03.407+00:002011-03-24T15:43:03.407+00:00Mine don't just crack, Paul, they explode. As a rule, I set my electric kiln on 160F and let the pots dry fully over 12 hours or so, then begin to turn it up to biscuit temps.Hollis Engleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01550281579804944085noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9070171807625943329.post-60888327551556438322011-03-24T13:50:37.644+00:002011-03-24T13:50:37.644+00:00Sending a loud GROAN of empathy (having similar fe...Sending a loud GROAN of empathy (having similar feeling frequently).<br />BarbBarbara Rogershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06873859681085807056noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9070171807625943329.post-33122822716564447842011-03-24T13:29:23.005+00:002011-03-24T13:29:23.005+00:00I'm getting ready to do my first bisque of my ...I'm getting ready to do my first bisque of my very own.
