Barrington Pottery New workshop update.

We were handed the keys to the new barn on Friday at 4pm
Just at the start of a Bank Holiday weekend.
So on the Saturday Marion started Lime washing
the showroom walls.
While I carried on potting in the workshop.
This was the space on Saturday morning.
The floor is great but some areas still need sorting.
As ever Caddy was never far away.
On Sunday Night we stripped out the old showroom.
This is the area we are losing so the overall space
 isn't that much bigger.
Lime wash goes on this colour
 But dries to this colour.
Don't ask how much it costs
I nearly fell over in the specialist paint store.
Pots waiting for a new home.
We closed all day today to crack on with the displays and walls.
We have all day tomorrow to get it finished
and we will be open again on Thursday.
We may be in our Pajama's and Slippers
but we will be Open.

Barrington Pottery - things are starting to move just a bit.

I let Marion loose on this 19" dish
This is The finished result.
While we have been away on Holiday we have been
making the final touches to our new pottery school.

We came back to find the work in the barn hadn't moved as quick
 as we were expecting.
But the space is begining to take shape.
We have a lot of work still to do
of our own once the builders have finished.
Still it's worth smiling about
So Back of our Holiday and back to the wheel
first thing Thursday morning.
to get up to date with orders and stock for Rufford.

Making Lists

It seems to have become customary for me to start each Blog
with an update picture of the progress in the Barn.
As You can see it's starting to take shape.
 Meanwhile back at the Ranch
 We carry on as normal
These ladies were booked in for a full day lesson
Three sisters and their 91 year old mother.
 On Sunday
Marion put together my Making list from orders that had come in
over the past week.
So I set about knocking them off two by two
But not before I had a coffee break.
Jugs with deeper rims x 2
Of course Cadbury has seen it all before
and knows that when I'm on the wheel I shan't be needing the slip
so he won't be disturbed.
 Lips on small jugs.
 Half pint Tankards
Last weekend we got our hands on this fantastic dish
and Marion Loves the freedom of the decoration
So I've made her a 19" dish to work on.
I slipped it yesterday and today she has a blank canvass.
Back Soon.
