This week it feels as if I have ground to a halt.
The start to the year has been fast and furious, but this week
feels like I've run out of fuel.
a bit like the Pajero, that broke three weeks ago
and I haven't even looked at it yet.
This little chap seems to have been more productive than me this week
This weeks total I am ashamed to say has been
6 lipped bowls and three Devon jugs.

And I found myself standing 20ft from a deer on the way home tonight
I've seen him a few times in the past week but this was really close
why do we talk to animals?
I did finally get around to ordering a new set of elements
for one of my kilns.
It's that time of year when all subscriptions come up for renewal
and money just seems to pour out of the door.
I have been working hard and any money I've had in
has just gone straight out the door again.
It sort of gets you down a bit
and I'm sure it's all that ,
that has ground me to a halt this week.
I have a glaze firing on at the moment so at least that's something.
I've just read this back to myself
My God I sound flat.
But that's what blogging is all about isn't it
the up's and the downs.

and next week you will be kicking a** and taking names. It is winter and some weeks are just like this and others.....
Blame it on winter and the lack of light.....like the weather life is subject to change.

All of my grumbling has gone over to Meredith's email, just to keep my blog from making everyone run away!
She is so right, it's winter and we aren't getting enough vitamin D. Love the shot of that chapel, I would love to visit there someday......

Hey, Paul. My biscuit kiln is starting to look like that now. I'm told simply heating up the coils to 250 or so will make them more limber and allow them to be put back into the channels. I did that a few weeks ago, but will need to do it again soon. I hear there may be clips to help hold them in there.
And yes, it's winter. Take a deep breath and a long walk to visit the nearby sheep.
Hey Paul, don't worry, you maybe just need a bit of calmer time, I know I sometimes do. We run ourselves ragged and then wonder why we can't carry on the same.
Yes Hollis you can pin the elements back in with U shaopes of old element wire, heat it and bend it and they'll stick into the brick work and hold the elements back in the channels.
Your commemorative dishes are looking lovely.
