It's a cold wet day, and the kiln cooled down quickly. So this afternoon to cheer us up, we had a look in the Kiln, it was remarkably cool. Most of the pots were OK just a few with the glaze bubbling where they had over hung the kiln shelf. The pictures were taken in the hall way, with the lights on, so they don't show the colours very well. I was pleased with the two large bowls, I think both of these have scope for further development. I was also pleased with the mugs, I don't think these ones will burn you knuckles when they are full of Tea. The Lidded jar has come out OK but this one is a bit to busy in design. The four smaller bowls were all test glazes, this picture does not do them any justice as the colours are very nice. What do you think ?.

Nice one blogger Paul, I don't think the jar is too busy at all and I really like that we can see your fingers at the bottom of the slip on the mugs too. You ain't no David Bailey though are you! All the pots look really good, how does that darker glaze look in daylight and are you pleased with it?

I like the mug with the black and white slips very much - and the big bowls too. It's all fab, in fact.

Hi Guys, a number of issues. I don't like the darker glaze, but Marion likes it, were now having big discussions about some of the stuff I make. The decorated Jar I don't like, I wouldn't look at it twice if i saw it on another potters stand. so what the hell have I made it for. I think it's all a part of the development process, what you do like - what you dont like. what comes out good and what dosn't. at the moment andrew they just get put in a box in the shed. the david bailey comment did make me laugh, I'm not am I.
