I have been dealing with a bad chest infection for most of this week,which has kept me off work, but also out of the Workshop. I finally made it in there last night and was able to finish off these small lidded pots and get the slip on one of my new Jugs. I also remembered to take a shot down the other end of the road from the front gate, this time without an oil tanker.

I agree with Hannah - that row of lidded pots looks great and the jug's very nice too.
For some reason, looking at your pictures of the village makes me realise why I didn't really like the Lord of the Ring's films. I think when I read the book I had much more English picture in mind for much of it and the sets they used weren't really anything like this. It might be obvious but there really is something quintessentially English in that view, which differs even from Scottish or Welsh villages, let alone European or even made up New Zealand villages.
They did have some nice drinking vessels in the films, though...

Nice to see those jars lined up Paul. Glad you're feeling a bit better. Thanks a ton for the images you sent. It's good to see how your kiln is made. I did fire my bisque today and all went well as far as I can tell. I'll get a look at the pots tomorrow I guess.
