York - Old York , so good they only named it once.

I had to go to York on Tuesday for a meeting with a contractor, as part of my full time job as a contracts manager. I was able to take a bit of time out at Lunch to walk around the old streets of York, and buy my Lover Marion a Valentines day card. Shoosh!!! don't tell her.

If you go to York again and get a chance to take a look at it, they've got Bill Ismay's collection of pots in the museum. I've never seen it, but I've heard it's amazing. By the way, this title gave me a good giggle.
Hope all is good with you and Marion, cheers Doug

Hi Doug, I will be back in York in 4 weeks for a further meeting, and I will check out the Museum, I'll try and sneak a few shots with the digital camera for the blog.

The Title was for Ron. I tell you what, walking down that street made me think that when it was first built, most of the houses would have been full of local slipware pottery. Either we once lived in those times in another life, or our purpose in life is to keep the craft alive and kicking.

Cheers Paul.
