Up to London today on another mindless task for work. I'm nearing the end of a big project for Marks & Spencer 10,000 sq mtrs of floor tiles in a new Flagship Store opening in December anyway, all went well on site. So I was listerning to radio 4 on the way home and they were talking about whether mavericks in companies are a good or a bad thing.
I'm not sure if I would call myself a maverick. I've just looked up the meaning of the word in the dictionary
Maverick " a person of unorthodox Independence, one who dissents from the ideas and beliefs of an organised group to which they belong".
In business terms most of my ideas are classed as " thinking outside of the box". I don't seem to see the world as other people see it. Or maybe I just don't see the world in the way the company want me to see it. I know I have been chugging along with my Potting probably only in first gear for the past few months, which has been frustrating Marion and myself, but I have come to realise that if I don't believe in myself I'll never move on. So from now on I'm up in to 4th Gear.
I also think loads of stuff all the time, which is why I get so easily distracted, but unfortunately for you fellow bloggers I have decided from now on to put much more of it out into the blogging world.
So if I get taken away by the men in white coats you know what happend !!

I'll be with you for company, rocking gently in a dimly lit room
Me too, but I'll probably be barking loudly and laying on the floor having leg spasms.
Hey, put it on out here, it's more fun that way.
You guys are hilarious! I'll come and visit you all.
You've got the right idea, though. Kick it up a notch, as Emeril would say. Think like a maverick... because you are one.
