OK, you may want to read the previous post first, to understand what this one is all about.
I took my pots into a very upmarket shop in Ilminster this afternoon, in an attempt to get back in the saddle after this mornings Rodeo ride of emotions.
I took the very same pots in the very same Apple box and Sold the lot, What a difference.
This lady Loved them and I love this Lady.
I want to say a VERY BIG " THANK YOU" to Marion, who kept my spirits up this morning and kept me believing in myself. My first propper sale.
That feels good.
The trials and tribulations of Paul Jessop living in the lovely Somerset village of Barrington setting up Barrington Pottery.

Way to go Paul! Good for Marion too to keep your spirits up, Sarah does the same for me quite often.
and a big nurrrr!! to the other gallery manager,........good on ya paul......
Paul, long long ago, I was in sales and it is such an emotional roller coaster of highs and lows. You take it so personally. But when you are selling something you put your heart and soul into, it's even more so. Good for you for getting back out there and finding a worthy person to sell your beautiful pots. Screw that other lady I say! Her loss!!!!!
By the way, I went back to the beginning of your blog the other day looking for a photo of your kiln. you were a very cute 12 year old!! I enjoyed revisiting some of the older postings.
Oh how wonderfully splendid! A fine come back indeed good sir!!! Well done dad, I'm really proud of you! xx
I am in the lucky situation that I can sell most of my work from my studio but you must not get too upset by these people, as you said, "What does she know". As long as for every one or two that don't like your stuff there is someone that does you will do fine. Keep up the good work!
Wey hey, good shout Sir Paul
