In April 2012
Barrington Court will be host to an
Antony Gormley Installation called
"Field for the British Isles".
It's an installation of thousands of clay people
These are images of the installation from Antony's web site.
I hope that's alright!
I've put the link at the end.
"It's" or should I say "they", are going to occupy the floor
in three rooms at Barrington Court.
It's all part of Barrington Court finding a niche for it's self now that it's empty.
I can't wait to see it.
It's going to bring a real buzz to the court next year
and to accommodate the extra 15,000 extra visitors they think it will attract
Barrington Court will be open 7 days a week from March 2012.
2012 is looking like it's going to be a very busy year
for us at Barrington Pottery.
I'm really excited about this!
And with a bit of luck I might get to meet
Antony Gormley
and have a cup of tea with him
in my workshop.
Here is the link
enjoy.

That's really exciting! I have wanted to see this installation for ages. Am I right that each clay person is made by different people & so individual as the maker- wow- can't wait!
Thanks Paul ,so interesting, was glad to have the link.
That's going to be a great event, Paul. Lots of people finding you when they come for the Gormley installation. Very cool.
That's fab Paul. It's a brilliant sight. I saw one at Carlisle and I was stood there ages. Went home and made a mini one with my Cub Scouts and we filled a tent (ish) with their people.
You'll love it.
